Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
“In the early years of my marriage I felt incredibly stuck. It seemed like we were constantly at odds. We struggled to communicate, to handle conflict, and to make decisions about our kids. I felt alone, anxious or angry all the time. It was clear we needed help. All the things we knew to try weren’t working.
Going to therapy then was life changing for us. There I discovered how I was standing in the way of having the relationship I wanted. I explored how my family history and my childhood abuse was impacting the way I functioned in my current life and relationships. Making those connections helped me understand my defensiveness and anxiety. That process was clarifying and freeing.
Since 2000 I’ve been doing the same kind of work with clients, helping them to explore and understand their own stories and get unstuck. My focus is to help people discover why they might be relating and behaving the way they are and give them tools to create change, transforming their inner world and relationships. I’d love to walk with you as you begin your own transformative process!” Here are some of Elaine’s blog posts: The year of living dangerously,Remember, Wine and Suffering.
