Who We Are

Kelly Ontiveros , MA IMF
Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern
"I was the girl that seemed to always have it together. Not once would you hear me admit to struggling, or even worse failing! My commitment to making others believe I had it all figured out was from carrying around deep pain from family dynamics. This unprocessed pain left me insecure and unsure of who I really was. I found myself constantly looking to others to define me, addicted to the approval of others. Once I started my own journey of therapy, I found myself unraveled, vulnerable, and surprisingly, feeling freer than ever. Because of the trusting relationship I built with my therapist, I was able to let all my walls down, and understand how past pain was keeping me stuck. This was just the start of deep self-discovery that changed the way I thought about myself and interacted with others in relationship.
When our souls are burdened, we can start to lose hope in others and ourselves. It is only natural to wonder, 'Will I ever feel like I’m living as the best version of myself?' We all have a unique story that requires a very specialized journey of healing. As your therapist, I am passionate about creating a safe and unique experience to help you heal from pain, explore who you are, and give you the tools to build more intimate and trusting relationships. I look forward to collaborating with you to discover your truest, most unburdened self."
