Who We Are
Caralie Jodlowski , MA, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
On my journey of personal introspection and healing, I have learned that through pain and struggle, comes growth and transformation. In my early adult life, I sacrificed my values as a way to fit in with others and find meaning and love in many of the wrong relationships. I grew up as the youngest of four siblings, and continually felt the need to be seen and heard within my family. My way of doing this was to go against the grain and attempt to fit in with the wrong crowd.
As I was having an internal battle between my values and desire to fit in, my relationship at the time was becoming increasingly scary and abusive, leading to feelings of emptiness, fear, and distress. It was at this time in my life that I reached out to therapy, mentors and the community around me, to find support and guidance in a time where I felt I had blinders on. It was through therapy and mentorship over the following years that helped me explore my feelings of anger, resentment and fear, mainly of myself. This exploration allowed me to understand my unhealthy coping mechanisms that I engaged in as a way to get my needs met. I was able to identify how I perceived myself in the world, new perspectives of self-identify and how I could find vulnerability in healthy relationships. I truly believe in the power of safe and supportive relationships to help us heal from past wounds that have hurt us to our very core.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have had the opportunity to see the resilience in others, that I had found in myself on my own journey of healing. I am truly inspired daily by the resilience of the human spirit and the bravery that people have when embarking on the difficult but necessary work of self-examination. I am committed to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can feel supported and understood as we journey together to create new meaning and purpose in your life.
