Who We Are
Caralie Jodlowski , MA, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
"On my journey of personal introspection and healing, I have learned that through pain and struggle, comes growth and transformation. I grew up as the youngest of four siblings, and continually felt the need to be seen and heard within my family. In my early adult life, I attempted to fit in with others as a way to be seen, which ultimately led to me finding connection in many of the wrong relationships. As I was having an internal battle between my values and desire to fit in, my relationship at the time was becoming increasingly toxic, leading to feelings of emptiness, fear, and distress. It was at this time in my life that I reached out to therapy, mentors and the community around me, to find support and guidance in a time where I had blinders on.
It was through this support over the following years that helped me explore my feelings of anger, grief, and pain. This exploration allowed me to understand my unhealthy coping mechanisms that I engaged in as a way to avoid my feelings. I was able to identify how I block certain feelings with a number of coping mechanisms and learn how I could find ways to have vulnerability in healthy relationships. I truly believe in the power of safe and supportive relationships to help us heal from past wounds that have hurt us, and that if we decide to turn against our old coping mechanisms, we can learn new ways in how to connect with ourselves and with others more deeply.
As a therapist, I have had the opportunity to see the resilience in others. I am truly inspired daily by the resilience of the human spirit and the bravery that people have when embarking on the difficult but necessary work of self-examination. I am committed to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can feel supported and understood as we journey together to uncover your true and authentic self."
